My granddaughter put this on and didn't want to take it off. For a girl with opinions about what she wears, that's a real endorsement.
My granddaughter is nine, and she is not a passive participant when it comes to clothes. She dances, she gardens, she cooks, and she has developed the kind of fashion instincts that make her grandfather realize his opinion is largely decorative. So, when she tried this shirt on and gave a big smile, that said it all.
The white and black stripe is clean without being plain. The ruffle sleeve adds just enough detail to satisfy a young lady with a developing eye, without tipping into oddball territory. She wore it with leggings and looked like she'd put the outfit together herself, which at nine is exactly the point.
The 95% cotton construction was a selling point before she ever tried it on. We prefer natural fabrics for our own clothes, and we carry that same preference into what we put on the grandchildren. Cotton breathes, it washes well, and it doesn't have that synthetic feel against young skin that shows up in so many children's clothes at this price point. The 5% spandex adds just enough give for a kid who doesn't hold still.
The stitching is even and follows the stripe cleanly, which tells you something about the care in the construction.
Be aware that the shirt comes in a vacuum-sealed pouch, so wrinkles come with. They ease with the first washing.
Value Rating: Worth Having. It held up to a nine-year-old's scrutiny, which is a higher bar than most products face.

For less than $10 this striped ruffle girls shirt is pretty darn cute. Pardon my pictures, which show the shirt which was sitting in the clean laundry basket for a few days because I got sick, so it got wrinkly. However, normally, when you first pull it out of the dryer, the shirt is not wrinkly. The quality is pretty good for the cheap price.
I got a size 6/7 for my daughter who is a small seven year old, and it fits well. I do not think it would fit a husky child unless you sized up. It didn’t shrink that I noticed. I have washed it several times and the color and fabric have held up well to being washed and dried in the dryer. The ruffle sleeves need a little folding down if you’ve wrinkled them a while, but in general, the sewing and stitching is pretty good so when you’re wearing it, it doesn’t distort. All the seams are fine as there are no loose threads. The material was surprisingly thick for an Amazon shirt. It is indeed cotton.
Overall, my daughter likes to wear the shirt and it’s very cheap, so I’m pleased and could recommend it.
